This time, we get to know Call me T, AKA Terry Donohue, our resident rocker, guitarist,
and all-round songwriter, with Ozzy vibes based in Ontario, Canada! For those who've been around NAS for a while, Call me T is no stranger either to the NAS Top 20 or the artist chat, but we barely hear a peep from him so I'm super excited to get to know more about him today and I hope you are too! His new track, "Who I am" will also be out on September 30th. Exciting!
The track "The Lonely One " is featured in the New Artist Spotlight Family of Playlists.

1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.
I was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada which is located just outside of Toronto. I am currently unemployed after being packaged out after working 24 years in sales for a major power tool manufacturer. I lost my job in October 2019, just prior to the start of the Pandemic on January 2020.
It gave me the opportunity to work on my lifelong passion for music. I started on an Album entitled “The COVID Project”. I am still working on it today as we speak.
2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?
I was inspired to play and make music at a young age, back in the ’70s when Canadian Bands like Rush, April Wine, and BTO were cranking out Rock Hits !! I couldn’t get enough of the heavy guitar licks and had a real thing fur wanting to play the lead guitar in those songs someday. After bugging my parents day and night they happily agreed to sign me up for guitar lessons and I was hooked for life !!
𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influences in music and guitar were Alex Lifeson (Rush), Randy Bachman (B.T.O), Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, and Eddie Van Halen, to name a few of my favourites.
4. What are your goals in the music industry?
I’d like to continue to write and record my original music as long as I can. I find joy In the entire process and hope to do even more collaboration with other artists going forward.
5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.
I typically start with a guitar riff. I sit and play guitar and always have my phone by me so that when I capture that special moment, “the magical riff” I can quickly record it before it leaves me.
"If music is your passion, pursue it, play it, enjoy all it brings, and learn from it. It’s a special gift to nurture and enjoy for a lifetime."
6. What is your all-time favorite song?
This is probably the toughest question any musical artist will try to answer …. But one that has stayed with me for many years is Dream Weaver by Gary Wright…. It just seemed to always get me … and still does. That’s the magic of a great song.
7. What is the best advice or council you have either given or received in terms of music?
If music is your passion, pursue it, play it, enjoy all it brings, and learn from it. It’s a special gift to nurture and enjoy for a lifetime. It may not pay the bills but it will give you something a whole lot more in life, which is the undying love of music for a lifetime!
8. Proudest accomplishment?
I’d have to say my proudest accomplishment has to be the creation of our own beautiful family. My wife and I started over 30 years ago, we just celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary and we are proud parents of two young sons( now 25 and 22 yrs old) … and couldn’t be happier to see how they become men with our family values firmly entrenched in them.
9. What is something about you that might surprise someone who knows you the best?
Although I’ve always been the life of the party and the happy-go-lucky-go.. I’ve always felt a tad insecure and in need of others' approval to feel complete. As life progresses though I realize you only have to be happy with yourself to feel peace.
𝟭0. Tell us about your highest and lowest points in music so far.
The highest points for me in music to date would be no doubt my exposure since joining NAS, with over 230k Spotify streams, and over 10K views on YouTube it’s been unreal!!
