1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.

Eternal Drak was born in Bogota Colombia in 1997 as a pure thrash black metal band, a few years ago we moved to Quebec Canada and we changed a little bit our style adding some metal core and latino rifts.

2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?

The story begun with the need of communicating the typical rebellion of adolescence. In addition to generating an explosion of energy with its rhythm, thrash is also lyrically a constant rebellion against the established. We were young people wanting to rebel and thrash offered a way to vent energy and express ourselves. We also felt a lot of affinity with black metal because of its anti-Christian principle

𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?

There are several bands that have inspired us in different ways, the band In Flames for the good melody they make without losing their heaviness, the band Kreator who through so many years of experience have managed to maintain their essence and energy, the band Dimmu Borgir for the atmospheres they give to their dark lyrics, among others.

4. What are your goals in the music industry?

Music is a way to express and communicate feelings, ideas and moods, thats all we want, share the way we see the life its all we want to do. if the money comes on this path it would be welcome.

5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.

Originally the band was formed by 2 brothers, Andres and Eduardo Martinez. the way we made music was really simple, Eduardo (drummer) played different rhythms and then Andres (guitar) followed him with something strong. Now this basic way remains the same but to finish the productions we use the technology.

6. What is your all-time favorite song?

Dialogue with the stars (In Flames). a balance between melody and heaviness

7. What is the best advice or council you have either given or received in terms of music?

Make music that we like always expecting the worst so that if some good result arrives we will be pleasantly surprised. This message was given by a really good friend.

8. Proudest accomplishment?

After finishing our first EP In 2002 Eternal Drak won the best metal video award City Tv channel above many bands of the time with much more popularity. this award opened a lot of doors and gave us great recognition.

9. What is something about you that might surprise someone who knows you the best?

In 2019 our drummer Eduardo Martinez passed away. A paradox about what can make a band reborn. our drummer passed away, but the positive of that, the band revived after several years of inactivity stronger than ever.

𝟭0. Tell us about your highest and lowest points in music so far.

Our lowest point musically was in 2007 when the band decided to take a long hiatus. Currently the band is at its best despite the great problems that have been experienced, new friends and old enemies have strengthened us and have enriched our way of making music.
