This time, we get to know the mysterious and elusive Fábjáni, an alternative indie artist born in ice and snow, raised by wolves and monkeys and bats, and educated in the cold vacuum of space, (according to his bio on Spotify!)
Fábjáni now enjoys making music whilst living by the beautiful English coast.
Influences include Leonard Cohen, Tim Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Pet Shop Boys, Pavement, Portishead, Radiohead, Mansun, and Sufjan Stevens. fábjáni imagines a slight similarity in style with artists such as Aqualung, Goldfrapp, Angelo De Augustine, Philip Glass and Erik Satie. With an eclectic mix of piano, electronic and vocal driven melodies, there's plenty to pick from his catalog.

1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.
I live by the coast in England where I enjoy the beauty of the landscape and weep at the despair of the people.
2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?
I was encouraged by a supportive family to play musical instruments from my very earliest days, and eventually the noises I made started becoming more beautiful.
I soon realised that what I enjoyed most of all was to create my own music using voice, instruments, a 16 bit computer, and even basic recording equipment as part of the creative process.

My dad and my brother; Gustav Mahler and Erik Satie; Leonard Cohen and Neil Young; Pet Shop Boys and Portishead; Pavement and Mansun; Daniel Johnston and Sufjan Stevens
4. What are your goals in the music industry?
I only ever want to make music that I find beautiful in some way. I have no great goal in the music industry beyond the simple hope that there might be some people out there odd enough to share my view of beauty who I can share my music with.
5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.
Most of my songs start their life when I am sitting at a piano improvising or trying new ideas, either musical or lyrical.
6. What is your all-time favorite song?
Dream Letter by Tim Buckley. This is an utterly beautiful and desperately sad song. Whether I am feeling happy or sad, it is always the right time to listen to something so full of raw emotion and deep sorrow.
7. What is the best advice or council you have either given or received in terms of music?
Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, and don't forget to practice.
8. Proudest accomplishment?
I once taught the world to sing in perfect harmony. I then proceeded to furnish it with love, grow apple trees and honey bees and snow white turtle doves. It was pretty good, but then it all went wrong.
9. What is something about you that might surprise someone who knows you the best?
I can fly. But I can't time travel. Not even a bit. Which is a shame. I'd like to. I think I'd like to go back in time and meet Alexander Hamilton and sing him the songs from Hamilton.
𝟭0. Tell us about your highest and lowest points in music so far.
Low points in music would be listening to the over abundance of soulless music that's out there. I have the honour of sometimes helping to lead sung worship at my church. I know that not many would agree with me, but I can't think of any greater use of music than turning attention away from me and towards someone greater.
