1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.
We are Little South, a four piece band from a town called Malmö in the southern part of
Sweden. For many years we have been playing at local venues and private parties in and
around our hometown. Our repertoire consisted mainly of cover songs from our favorite
bands and artists but when the pandemic was over we decided to write some original songs
and arrange, record and release them on Spotify and other streaming sites. We have
released six tracks so far and we are in the process of many more to come.
2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?
As devoted music lovers, it was of course the music we heard on the radio and the records
we bought as youngsters that inspired us. Later on, when we started playing by ourselves, the biggest inspiration came from playing with others in different bands. The joy of creating music together was of great importance for our desire to continue to play and develop and, of course, have fun.

𝟯. Who are your biggest musical influences? How would you describe your style or genre?
Some of us have played together for a long time although we have a little different musical
background. Some of us are strongly influenced by blues and country music and some of us
have their background and love for more progressive music. But we unite in our love for the music by the bands and the artists from the late sixties and seventies or those who got their inspiration from that era, none mentioned none forgotten.
4. What are your goals in the music industry or as an artist?
Our goal is to evolve our craftsmanship in terms of songwriting, arranging and recording in
order to have a repertoire to play for a live audience. And of course have a lot of fun along the way.
5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.
So far, there is one member in the band who writes our material. He presents a song for the others with harmonies, melody and lyrics, and tries to explain his ideas. Then we start playing it in order to get the vibe and arrange it so it will work for the band. The time of this process can vary from just a few rehearsals up to months of playing, arranging and rewriting etc. Some songs seem to play themselves while others never work.
6. What is your all-time favorite song by another artist and why?
We have hundreds of songs by bands and artists in our favorite lists so it will be too presumptuous to pick one out of all of them.
7. What is the best advice you have either given or received in terms of music?

Our best advice is to play with other musicians in bands or other constellations and learn
from each other, and of course to listen to lots of music both recorded and live.
8. Proudest accomplishment?
It is probably the fact that we have kept the band together for so many years through all ups
and downs that goes on in life and that we still have fun playing as a band and enjoy making music together.
9. Just for fun! What's been your most embarrassing moment so far?
Well, there was one rehearsal, some years ago, when we struggled with a Bob Dylan song
and couldn’t get the harmonies right. We started all over a dozen times when suddenly a
fellow musician, from the rehearsal room next door, came in and explained the chord
progression very fast and then left the room as quickly as he came. We were taken by total
surprise at the moment but then we burst out into laughter. A bit embarrassing at that point
but afterwards it has become a fun memory to us all.
𝟭0. Tell us about your lowest and highest points in music so far.
The high points of our music life have been all the times we have had the chance to play our
music live in front of a happy and partying crowd while they give us the energy to be at our
best. The lowest point is not a musical low point, but the fact that we lost one of our original
band members too early in life and it affected us of course emotionally but also musically.

Hi Guys! I would love playing live, too. I just need a band! Losing a friend is one of the hardest things in life. Hang in there and keep playing!
It sounds like you all still enjoy playing live, which is half the battle. Looking forward to hearing your music
Thanks for sharing a bit about yourselves with us. It is good to hear that you still have a lot of fun and have survived as a band for so long through the ups and downs.
Hey, you spread the joy of playing, singing, and performing with your rhythm... your music is very good. Congratulations!
