𝟭. Where are you from and what are your hobbies?

Hi, I am from Ertvelde, Belgium. My hobby is mainly music and building guitars under the brand MADN Guitars. Next to that I am a great animal lover. I have the best dog in the world and I own a koi pond with some jumbo size beautiful fish to take care of.

𝟮. How did your get into music?

I started out playing guitar when I was twelve. I used to cover Metallica and the offspring and such. At the age of twenty I started a band and that is when I also started writing my own music. Now at the point of thirty years old I wrote a lot of songs , hit some ups and downs, but I still love it!

𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?

Metalbands wit heavy riffs, but with also special twists and melody. That are bands such as Mastodon, Rabea Massaad, Toska, lamb of god, Psychonaut, Diablo BLVD, ...

4. What are your goals in the music industry?

My main goal is to get my music heard and to aim for live performances on festivals and greater stages in the BeNeLux. I love what I do, and it is my goal to keep loving what I do ;)

5. If you could choose a location to perform at, what would it be?

Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium. At the mainstage around noon is a great place to start out. And after that the other festivals at later hours.

6. What is your all-time favorite song?

There are so many songs! The song that pops into my head straight away is Fade To Black by Metallica.

7. Most embarrassing moment?

Getting wasted on our first international gig when the crowd was two paying viewers... In my head that was the best performance ever. On videoclips we were a bunch of monkeys looking for there keys...

8. Proudest accomplishment?

My solo project Steegmoord. The first album by Steegmoord. Written, recorded, mixed and mastered entirely by me after a great learning curve and after recording it multiple times. The whole process took me three years to the finished product. Knowing what I have learned in that time, I already recorded six songs for the next full album in a few months. More on that in the future!

9. What is something about you that might surprise someone who knows you the best?

I really love the tranquility of sitting near water and watch fish swimming around. It takes my head offthe pressure that the music scene brings for a moment. And it gives energy!

𝟭𝟬. What is your dream collaboration?

If I could collaborate with one artist, it would be Rabbea Massaad. I love his take on instrumental music. And that is something I also try in my music.

Hip hop genre is my favorite and I have researched alot so that I can get my hands on the best sample pack. Sikk sounds offer hip hop sample packs that have the best loops and a variety of One-Shots. Plus you can even get free sample packs there so you know what their sound quality is.

Hip-hop is really excellent, but I believe the thing that fascinates me the most is audio quality. I am a part-time musician who enjoys writing radio commercial scripts, and I also value high sound quality, and in hip-hop, audio production is one of the things that makes it so wonderful.
