New Artist Spotlight

This time on NAS 10 Questions we get to know Map of Autumn, AKA Tim Davies, a musician and producer from the South Coast of England.

Drawing influences from alt rock and indie bands of the 90s and 00s,Bloc Party,Muse, Radiohead, Kings of Leon, Soul Asylum, Biffy Clyro) and then combining it with his love of instrumental post rock (Maybeshewill, This Will Destroy You, Sigur Rós, Mogwai, Tides From Nebula), Tim creates his own brand of indie/alternative rock that can go from solo acoustic, to grunge, to post rock to large scale soundscapes.

This time, we get to know Juan María Solare, Pianist & composer from Buenos Aires, now living in Germany, His music stems from the confluence between post-Piazzolla tango and classical contemporary music. His singular style represents a synthesis of North and South, classical and popular, wit and melancholy. “Art music and light music are not irreconcilable extremes, but poles in a force field”, wrote Solare about his musical bilingualism.

This time, we get to know Kris Townsent, AKA Thomas Sonntag, Producer, writer, advertising specialist, short: One Man Show. Based in Germany with a background in trance, he turns his hand to more orchestral and cinematic sounds with his latest project, Thomas Sonntag.

This time, we get to know Kevin Michael Ozias, a multi-instrumentalist songwriter and producer near Seattle, WA. His connection to music started very early after hearing John Bonham playing drums. The energy and command of the drums drove Kevin to start playing and then he expanded to pick up other musical instruments quickly. He learned guitar and bass, playing each of these in various bands. He began to write songs, record them, and produce them, then evolved & taught himself how to be a music producer. Kevin is on a mission to help other inspired musicians in their journey with his company, Innovaniac Music, where he collaborates, records, produces, publishes, and protects the artist.

This time, we get to know Kele Fleming, a singer-songwriter based in Canada. She’s a powerful vocalist with hard-hitting and thought provoking lyrics. Her music is similar to the likes of female powerhouses such as Neko Case, Lucinda Williams & Kate Bush yet her sound is entirely fresh. Kele’s songwriting and creativity really shines, and her latest release is a really fantastic, if you haven’t heard it yet check it out!
