The NAS 10 Questions

This time, we get to know Left on Read, AKA Steve – singer/keys/rhythm guitar, Adam – drums, and Jack – lead guitar. They are an alt-indie rock band from Limerick, Ireland with influences including Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Muse, and The Killers, to name a few.

This time, we get to know Lunar Plexus, AKA John & Reuben. John writes all the songs (lyrics and music). John does all the singing (lead and backing). We share all the guitar and keyboard parts. Reub plays bass and drums. Reub does the recording, mixing and mastering although all musical and artistic decisions are made by mutual agreement. Lunar Plexus is a 50:50 collaborative project and the songs evolve along the way.

This time, we get to know Mel Randall, and what a treat we have! One of the things I love about NAS is the diversity among artists and genres we have here, as well as getting to hear more behind the music and everyone’s individual story. Mel is a folk artist with some fabulous tales to tell and insight into how things have changed in terms of recording and ownership of work. Mel, is a singer-songwriter from the UK, who started out in the seventies! He has played with various bands and artists over the years, including The Fifth Amendment, and FTM.

This time on The NAS 10 Questions, we get to know Scott Shaw, a composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Kansas City, US. Scott has become a staple in the NAS community with his epic violin collaborations with a wide variety of artists across all genres, as well as his beautiful instrumental tracks.
