1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.

I live in Tottenham, North London, but was born in White Chapel, East London. For the most part, London is a very busy place with so much going on, so it’s never really quiet. I am currently working at lidl which is a supermarket but I work in the warehouse part of the company. I just managed to buy basic equipment to record myself so on the up I guess

2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?

The art of expression has always both intrigued and inspired me, I grew up listening to my mums favourites (Michael Jackson, Prince, Chaka Khan, Busta Rhymes, Lauren Hill and so many more). what inspired me the most was my own trauma and unconsciously finding ways to vent my pent up energy rapping with friends on street corners and in larger groups growing up

𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?

I would say the Rapper Nas as a lyrical influence, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot, for their expressive style and charismatic influence and coordination when making music videos. (Micheal Jackson, Prince, Ludacris, Mobb deep, D double E) There are so many more influences that have an effect and my music, sounds, and lyrics altogether, but they are the few I can think of.

4. What are your goals in the music industry?

That one is a difficult one to answer as I am sure with everyone our goals change with, age, experience, and achievements which is a kind of clique, but 1 thing has remained the same, the art of expression. I do also wish to make money with it and hear my music played in movies and TV shows one day hopefully soon.

5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.

I believe we all possess levels of creativity but feel it’s like a channel that you can access and depending on how well you channel (it) depends on how much creativity you can access. So when I feel most creative I try not to ignore it and immediately start creating because who knows when that level of creativity may come again. I feel most creative when I am full of energy and feel vibrant, so eating well and having the right mindset helps.

6. What is your all-time favorite song?

This ones hard to narrow down and is dependent on how you feel in the momoment, so from a hip-hop lyrical point of view right now i would say Nas- 2nd childhood ( such lyrical finesse)

7. What is the best advice you have either given or received in terms of music?

Self belief, which easy to lose but takes hard work to gain so when you have it nurture and appropriate it. Also learn from everything new, old, experienced or inexperienced let go of the ego and just learn to be the better version of yourself.

8. Proudest accomplishment?

When I was 23-24 I fell really ill, and didn’t have the best of upbringings in the 1st place. 23-24 I hade suffered a brain lesion (Brainstem Encephilitis for those who want to be technical) which really messed me up, attention issues, short term memory loss, paralysis, and SO much more. So reading and writing (two things I love) I couldn’t do anymore and took me almost 10 years to recover enough to finally have the courage to release my first EP “Manifestations A’way With Words” which available on Spotify. This made me feel so happy because I felt that side of me was gone.

9. Just for fun! What’s been your most embarrassing moment so far?

I actually don’t have an embarrassing moment musically or maybe I don’t get embarrassed easily. Forgetting lyrics on stage? Ah having a water fight with school friends and laughing because someone dropped and then immediately slipping on water and dropping as well in front of my now fiance so she never forget

𝟭0. Tell us about your lowest and highest points in music so far.

Ill start with the lowest and end with the high Not being able rap songs/lyrics I had rap a thousand times with my tongue being deviated to one side so pronunciation had to be worked on, so I practiced speech therapy from YouTube. Being able to rap in a studio which felt so far away when I wasn’t able too and having successfully releasing my first Ep which released so much doubt from my being. Thanks for listening πŸ‘πŸΏπŸ‘πŸΏ

Great to get to know HencH Tha Beat Sorcerer and how he powered through a very challenging situation but never lost hope. He knows when to harness his creativity and that is a great skill for any musician, or any artist for that matter. Wishing him very good things to come in 2024 😎

Great advice about using those moments of high creativity to their max potential. I listened to the song and was impressed by the complexity and originality of your lyrics and delivery. Loved hearing about you overcoming obstacles and the joy of releasing that first song.
