Why I Love This NAS Song: “Maga Noctis” by Last “Ravage” Opinion

Great review. I definitely feel transported by so many songs, and I think you are right that instrumental songs often are those that give the most interpretive freedom.

Senti-Ente, you are so right. I so appreciate a good instrumental where you can just close your eyes and go without lyrical guidance to where your mind takes you. Great review.

This is a wonderful song! It gives me hopeful science fiction energy for some reason. Perhaps a 60’s, 70’s science fiction. So Star Trek, Twilight Zone are what comes out for me.
Just love the different movements of the piece. It really opens up a ‘world of wonder’ feel.
Stunning song! So glad you gave it the spotlight here!
Thank you Senti-Ente for the review & congrats on beautiful work Last “Ravage” Opinion.

Such an evocative piece of music, totally agree on the Sci-Fi vibes. A genuine pleasure to listen to, and a nice opportunity to practice my Spanish as well with such a thoughtful review- win win!

Such an excellent review. You really captured the way the track evolves instead of staying static, the gradual shift from a mysterious, almost weightless opening into something triumphant and cinematic is exactly what stood out to me while listening for the first time. The progression really makes the track come alive and the writing here expresses that in great detail.

Beautifully written review. I love how this captures the power of instrumental music to feel personal without needing lyrics. “Maga Noctis” really does have that cinematic, otherworldly quality, almost like it is guiding you through a memory from the future. Great work from Last “Ravage” Opinion and a thoughtful reflection from Senti-Ente.

You absolutely nailed it when you called the song “sonically evolving”. And it truly is very cinematic!! It reminds me most of the soundtrack of old school DOS Role Playing Games like Might and Magic and Dark Sun. It’s definitely yielding up a sci Fi vibe. Great find, and great article!

This sounds like a soundtrack of an adventurous game. I like the transition to the orchestral vibe. Nice work!

I love how you describe instrumental music as an expansion of possibilities rather than an absence of lyrics. It really captures the immersive, cinematic nature of the track!

Wonderful review. I completely agree. So many songs have the power to transport us, and I think you’re right that instrumental pieces often leave the most room for personal interpretation, allowing each listener to experience something uniquely their own.

This is a really nice review and a beautiful track.
I don’t mind reading it in Spanish because the language is very similar to my but maybe you could add an translation so other folks that don’t get it can read it too 😉

Today, I listened to this artist’s song “Cool.” It had a strong ’60s vibe and was exactly my kind of music.
The song reviewed by Senti-Ente this time is a progressive rock-style instrumental track.
It really shows just how diverse this artist’s music is. Thank you, Senti-Ente, for the review.

Your opening thesis reminds me of something in Victor Wooten’s novel, The Music Lesson. He reminds us that the “rest” has to be noted because it isn’t the lack of sound. Silence has to be actively played.

And if the artist happens to read this, just totally open about this… without having come across this album in the wild, I would’ve thought the band name was, Opinion La Snavage. I eventually just assumed that the T was there for decoration. It took a full 30 seconds to find the R, and only then because I was looking for it.

A really nice review and I completely echo the sentiments. I often find a better connection with instrumental music and the ability for it to take me somewhere. I love the haunting, atmospheric quality to this piece and the way it develops. A great review of a wonderful piece.

Having a song being able to transport you anywhere is the greatest compliment you can get as an artist. If someone feels the same and writes about how it made them feel? Priceless!

You put into words something I’ve never been able to articulate – when I was younger, I thought music needed lyrics to have any sort of “meaning”, but the more instrumentals I hear, the more I learn how it’s a matter of just setting a mood however you can, and this song absolutely nails it.

This review was great some wonderful writing here such as , ” its power to transport the mind through time”. And “Music is perhaps the only vehicle that allows us to inhabit other worlds and distant eras in a matter of seconds”.
Well done a great piece and well written , it really encourages people to go listen. Instrumental s are always my favourite.
